Board Games Cafe Batam opens till 12am daily

If you’re looking to eat, play, and relax, head over to Board Games Cafe Batam for savoury snacks and games all under one roof. Open every day until midnight, the cafe is a good spot for late-night munchies. It’s also a four-minute drive from the city centre!

The upbeat cafe sports a cosy ambience with rows of long tables for big and small groups. Instead of paying an entrance fee, diners are required to spend a minimum of Rp 25,000+ (~S$2+) to have access to the board games.

Here, you can choose from 64 different board games including Saboteur, Monopoly, Catan, and Uno Jenga. If you’re unsure how to play the games, feel free to call the service staff who will be happy to teach you!

For local delights, order the Indomie Goreng Creamy w/ Egg (Rp 24,000+/~S$2+) or Sate Taichan Kulit (Rp 27,000+/~S$2+). During our visit, the satay was nicely grilled and came with a side of zesty chilli sauce.

For something more filling, try their best-selling rice bowls, all affordably priced under $4, such as the Rice Bowl Beef Teriyaki (Rp 39,000+/~S$3+), Rice Bowl Ayam Salted Egg (Rp 33,000+/~S$3+), and Rice Bowl Ayam Balado (Rp 39,000+/~S$3+).

Light bites are also available with some interesting items such as the Cheese Choco Stick (Rp 22,000+/~S$2+), a sinful snack coated with cheese and topped with chocolate sprinkles. If you’re with a large group, order the Snack Platter 1 (Rp 115,000+/~S$10+) for a feast of nuggets, sausages, wedges, and chicken wings.

For drinks, we recommend trying the sweet and syrupy Iced Green Tea Latte (Rp 29,000+/~S$2+). Other drinks on the menu include Dalgona Coffee (Rp 24,000+/~S$2+) and Iced Nescoffee Milo (Rp 29,000+/~S$2+) if you’re looking for something out of the ordinary.
