You don’t need to be a Northeaster to know of Lola’s Cafe, the popular brunch spot in Kovan that’s regularly packed. The good news is that you don’t have to make your way there to have your fill of Lola’s any more come next week, because they’re opening a second outlet in Holland Village this 20 July 2022!

According to the teaser video they’ve posted on their Instagram page, the space looks to be decked out in trendy neutrals and earthy tones, with high ceilings, greenery, and sinuous, rounded furniture that lend softness and flow to the cafe.

Expect long, curved couches with cushioned seats and backrests around bigger tables, and counter seats against the window—so there’s a dining space for dining parties of every size.

The menu at Lola’s Cafe in Holland Village is likely to be similar to their OG Kovan branch, with favourites such as Lola’s Breakfast ($23++), Pulled Pork & Avocado Eggs Benedict ($16++) and more making an appearance here.

Other than brunch, which is served from 9am to 3pm daily, there’s a separate dinner menu starring one of Lola’s Cafe’s most popular dishes: Tuscan Seafood Stew ($23++). With salmon fillet, prawns, and mussels in a tomato-accented creamy gravy, accompanied by slices of sourdough, there’s no wonder this has been a hit.

Lola’s Cafe is also well-loved for their desserts, which you can also look forward to at their Holland Village outpost. Head here for their Hummingbird Cake ($6++), Black Sesame Tart ($7++), and Lychee Rosewater Cake ($6.50++), and have them with a cuppa Lola’s Affogato ($7++), tea, or handcrafted soda.
If you’re not joining the crowds at Lola’s Cafe, pop over to Keong Saik Bakery at Chip Bee Gardens for some pastries instead. Otherwise, there’s also Wang Dae Bak at Holland Piazza if you’re looking for something more substantial.
