For residents in Tampines, you would have probably heard of Long Feng Prawn Mee. Unfortunately, the 33-year-old stall will be closing its doors on Feb 27. The stall was founded in 1989 and is currently run by a 67-year-old Mdm Lim, who has been serving up delectable bowls of prawn noodles, laksa, and lor mee since then.

Before moving to its current location at Tampines, it was previously located at Clementi for over 18 years. It then moved to Bedok North before settling down in Tampines for 11 years. The reason for the first two moves was due to changes in landlords and an increase in rental. Sadly, the same situation is repeating itself but only this time, Mdm Lim has decided to call it quits. She felt that with her current age and the long hours of working the stall, it was difficult to sustain the business alone. Therefore, she felt it was a good time to shut its doors and retire instead. Though it’s sad to see the stall go, it’s truly a well-deserved break for Mdm Lim!

As word of its closure has gotten around, the stall has been seen with snaking long queues almost daily! With this surge of customers, she’s been serving up to over 200 bowls of noodles since! Although this means more work for her, Mdm Lim is happy to serve customers who want a final chance to try her scrumptious noodles before it officially closes on Feb 27.
Hurry Down For A Final Taste Now!
For those heading down, be sure to reach there early as the stall is known to close by 12pm! For those who have been fans of Long Feng, this is your last chance to have one last bowl before it’s closed for good so hurry down now!
