Chef Kin HK Wanton Noodle has been drawing snaking long queues since its opening in September at Yishun. When it first opened, queues were lasting up to one-and-a-half hours! A testament to how yummy the food is! However, it has now decreased to around 30 to 40 minutes during peak hours.  Opened by the former executive chef of Crystal Jade Culinary Concept Holdings, he is now expanding his crowd-favourite wanton mee stall with two new outlets!

The good news is that you no longer need to travel all the way to Yishun for a taste now! The first stall will be opening at a kopitiam along New Upper Changi Road in Bedok on Nov 26, while the second one will be opening on Dec 14 at a coffee shop at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4.

The HK Wanton Noodle ($5) is definitely a must-try! The dish features noodles made from duck eggs, huge wantons filled with pork and prawns. One thing to take note of is that char siew isn’t served here, unlike most wanton mee stalls. The broth is definitely the highlight of the dish! It is boiled with pork, ham, flounder fish, and old hen, making you want more with every sip!

Alternatively, you can also opt for the HK Dumpling Noodle ($5), which comes with extra ingredients including black fungus and bamboo shoots to give the dish a pleasant crunchy texture. The dumplings are also slightly larger compared to the wantons, making it a more substantial meal.

The HK Braised Beef Brisket Noodles ($5.50) is another dish that’s a hit among patrons! The dish features noodles drenched in a sweet-savoury oyster sauce and soy sauce gravy, topped with tender and succulent chunks of beef brisket. The beef brisket is slow-cooked for two hours, ensuring each piece of meat is bursting in flavour!

If you’re looking for a side dish to share, you can go for the Fried Wantons ($4). The crispiness of the wantons complements the noodles perfectly., giving it a nice blend of textures. Each plate comes with five wantons, with a dollop of mayonnaise at the side for extra creaminess and flavour. The perfect side dish to accompany your tasty wanton noodles!
