Waffle ($4.20), Lava Cake ($6), Cone ($1) and Bread ($0.80) are available to complement the ice cream.
I enjoyed the Waffle ($4.20) which was crispy with a light crunchy on the outside, complete with golden-brown shade.
The icing sugar and chocolate sauce was added to the sides for additional sweetness, yet without thankfully not interfering with the taste of the waffle. Foursome Ice Cream & Waffle (Upper Thomson)

Winnie The Pooh Inspired Ice Cream Cafe Opens Till 12AM
Situated nearest to the bus stop at Sunset Way, Hundred Acre Creamery had jumped onto the ice cream and gelato bandwagon there, joining The Daily Scoop, Burnt Cones and Dawn’s Gelateria.
As to why “Hundred Acre Creamery”, the 25 seaters space is named after the fictional place in the book “Winnie-The-Pooh by A. A. Milne”.
Apart from the usual offerings such as Ice Cream (Single $3.80, Double $7, Premium +$1, Gourmet +$1.50), Rosemary Cone (+$1) and Waffle ($6), interesting desserts such as Life of a Coconut ($7), Coco Affogato ($8), Dalat ($9) and Coco Pandan Waffle ($10) can be found here too.
I felt excited looking through the 14 ice cream flavours which sounded more interesting and ‘adventurous; compared to some of the recent new openings.
Unique flavours here include Peach Basil, Sea Salt Butter Caramel, Lilac Taro, Soursop Mint, Thai Tea Lychee, Ocean Blue (Nori with white chocolate) and Honey Chrysanthemum & Cacao Nibs. Hundred Acre Creamery (Sunset Way)

Gelato Cafe With Bingsu At Ang Mo Kio
The 32 seater-space at Desert Dessert has a MUJI-style layout, decked in wooden benches and white table tops.
Stepping inside, the most eye-catching part of the deco is their colourful stools, that look like scoops of gelato, placed at every table.
Their menu is quite extensive for a Gelato Cafe, ranging from Gelato (Single $3.60/ Double $6.60) to Waffles ($5.50), Bingsu ($9.50 – $11.50), Specialty Shakes ($5.50 – $6), Global Flavour Local Twist drinks ($5.50 – $6.50), Boba Milk ($3.50 – $4), Coffee ($3 – $6) and Ice Blended ($7.50).
Even though there are only 10 Gelato flavours to choose from, which is quite limited for a gelato cafe, the gelatos here are considered vibrant and colourful in terms of appearance.
Flavours range from Classic (Single $3.60/ Double $6.60) Matcha, Coconut, Cookies & Cream, Strawberry, Earl Grey, Butterscotch Caramel and Raspberry to Premium ones (additional $1) such as Chocolate, Sea Salt and Mango Passion.
Drizzled with maple syrup and sprinkled with icing sugar, the waffle is aromatic with vanilla and buttermilk fragrance that most waffle lovers will enjoy. Desert Dessert (Ang Mo Kio)
Hay Gelato
136 Bedok North Ave 3, #01-148, Singapore 460136
Opening Hours: 1pm – 2am (Tues – Sun), Closed Mon
Bedok Ice Cream Café Known For Smoked Hay Gelato
By the folks behind Brine Restaurant at North Bridge Road is their new 18-seaters (10 indoors, 8 outdoors) gelato cafe at Bedok.
A single scoop of gelato is priced at $4.20 whereas premium flavours will cost an additional $1 and waffles at $5.50.
A total of 12 flavours will be available at any one time, with interesting flavours such as Balsamic Strawberry, Truffle, Meyer Lemon, Yuzu Ginger and Smoked Hay.
The Smoked Hay Gelato ($5.20 for premium flavour) is made by smoking real hay (plants or grass dried and stored as animal fodder or food) and infusing into their milk-based gelato, the Smoked Hay gelato was dented in the centre with cocoa nibs on top.
The gelato was smooth and milky, with distinctive smokey-ness that lingers in the mouth without the grassy flavours of hay, whereas the coca nibs add some crunch to it, making it more robust and earthy. Hay Gelato (Bedok)

Bedok Reservoir Ice Cream Cafe For The Night Hours
The late-night hangout spot can be for those who needs some ice cream and waffles fix as they are opened till 2am daily.
The name is actually a play of the words “Hot & Cold”. That is because the café serves both (soon-to-launch) hot food mainly Egg Mayo and Tuna Mayo Sandwich Set ($10.90) and Ice Cream (Single scoop $3.80, Double scoops $7, Premium flavour +$1.50) and Waffles ($7.90).
The Waffles ($7.90) come in 3 different flavours: Red Velvet, Charcoal and Buttermilk with a set option ($12) that includes a single scoop of ice cream with a soft drink.
14 ice cream flavours are available on their display shelves, ranging from Pistachio, Brownies & cream, Route 88, Speculators, Strawberry Cheesecake, Aroy Mak (aka Thai Milk Tea, Mint), Golden Vanilla, Yubari Rock Melon, Cookie Monster, Creme Brûlée, Cotton Candy, to Camomile Honey.
The Yubari Rock Melon was less common and interesting, tasted like melon milk with a lingering fruitiness in its flavour. Haute And Cauld (Bedok Reservoir)
I See Cream
Thomson V2, 11 Sin Ming Road, #01-14, Singapore 575629
Opening Hours: 2pm – 11pm (Tue – Thu), 11am – 2am (Fri – Sat), 11am – 11pm (Sun), Closed Mon
Hidden Ice Cream Café At Upper Thomson
Taking over the space of a nail art salon at Upper Thomson V Two, the 22 seaters (8 indoors, 14 outdoors) space at I See Cream has a simplistic interior, decked in grey and white.
There were 12 gelato flavours available when I visited, such as premium flavours ($5 per scoop, $20 per pint) of Pistachio, Valrhona Dark Chocolate, Lychee Raspberry, Coconut, Yuzu, and Biscoff.
Other special flavours ($4 per scoop, $16 per pint) included Mango, White Peach Yogurt, Soursop, Blueberry, Rock Melon and Chocolate Chip.
I noticed that 8 out of 12 flavours were all fruit-based, all in the form of gelatos without sorbets for the lactose-intolerant.
The single scoop of Biscoff Gelato ($5) was served with Herb & Spice infused Belgian Waffle ($3.50) and edible Gold flakes were added as a nice finishing touch.
Made using bits of Lotus Biscoff biscuits, it added a firmer bite to the smooth, creamy and sticky texture of the gelato, adding some malty sweetness to the overall taste. I See Cream (Thomson)

Opening Hours: 12pm – 12am (Mon – Sun)
Gelato Cafe At Tampines Opens Till 12AM
Emi’s Waffle and Gelato is the newest entrant in Tampines West, and it opens till midnight daily.
It has become a trend for ice cream shops to open till late, and this is definitely another hipster supper spot with its bright neon lights and a dark interior.
18 gelato flavours are available on display, with Premium flavours (Single $4.50, Double $8, Triple $11.50) such as Salted Caramel, Golden Vanilla Pod, Cookie & Cream and Matcha Green Tea.
The remaining flavours are all Supreme flavours (+$0.50 per scoop) such as Cinnamon Chocolate Fudge, Yubari Rock Melon, Black Forest Cherry, Blueberry Yogurt, Black Sesame, Double Espresso, Mont Blanc, After Eight, New York Cheesecake, Mao Shan Wang and Lychee Lime.
The Black Sesame was as delightful, with detectable nutty and earthly flavours. Perhaps they can tone down the sweetness level by around 10-20% to bring out the aroma of black sesame. Emi’s Waffle and Gelato (Tampines)
