Good news for Yishun residents: from now till 23 March 2025, there’s a Ramadan bazaar right beside Yishun MRT Station!

This bazaar is not like your regular pasar malam. For one, Johor Bahru-famous kiosk Loco Boys is making an appearance here, grilling up fresh batches of their signature Chicken ($14) and Beef Tacos ($16). There’s also the option of getting a mix of both proteins at $15.

If it’s your first time trying Loco Boys, go for the beef version AKA birria tacos. These tacos feature tortillas fired on the grill and doused in a savoury beef consomme, then packed with tender beef chunks and stretchy cheese.
The popular JB kiosk has close to 20,000 Instagram followers at the point of writing. The stall has been drawing long lines since the first day of the bazaar, so we recommend heading down earlier to get your taco fix. They open at 3pm every day until 23 March.
The renowned Haig Road Putu Piring, which was featured in Netflix’s Street Food Asia, is another stall to bookmark at Yishun MRT Ramadan bazaar.

You won’t go wrong with the Gula Melaka Putu Piring (price TBD), where soft and fluffy steamed rice cakes are packed with a rich palm sugar filling.

Muslim-owned Western stall Charr-Bo also has a set-up here. While we don’t know what’s on sale at the bazaar, we know that the Yishun hawker stall specialises in charcoal-grilled meats, pasta dishes, and loaded fries.
For something sweet, head to Charkoi for their flavoured you tiao, priced at $10 for three. Choose from a wide range of flavours, including Honey Cornflakes and Nutella Oreo.
Other highlights at the fair include The Bakso Safirah, known for their Indonesian meatballs, Burgs 4 Iftar‘s Prata Burger ($7), and Bapak Ayam‘s Nasi Ayam Samba Ijo ($6.50).
Yishun MRT Ramadan bazaar only runs till 23 March, so head down soon before it’s too late!
