WOKE Ramen opens at Compass One
WOKE Ramen’s brand of wok hei-infused noodles has made it quite the hit in its first location at Changi Airport Terminal 1. Now, the brand has opened its second outlet in Sengkang’s Compass One, bringing its fusion ramen to a new part of the country.
WOKE Ramen Review: Wok Hei Collagen Ramen And Prawn Mee At Changi Airport
Currently, this new branch is in its soft launch period, with the official opening day being on 1 April 2024. And although you can visit WOKE Ramen now, you’ll definitely not want to skip the official launch. From 1 April 2024 to 3 April 2024, the Sengkang location will be running a special 1-for-1 ramen deal, limited to only 188 bowls per day.
Be sure to try the Chicken Chashu Collagen Ramen ($14.90++), crafted from chicken bones and cartilage simmered for over eight hours to produce a collagen-rich broth. Best of all, you’ll find that the noodles possess a distinct wok hei aroma, which stems from the fact that they are first stir-fried in seasoned woks before the broth is added to them.
While we recommend the previous dish, we find the Seafood Mix Prawn Ramen ($19.90++) to be even better. This dish is filled with ingredients such as prawn paste balls, tiger prawns, and scallops, all doused in a broth with plenty of umami, hints of sweetness, and the aroma of wok hei.
WOKE Ramen has a few decent sides as well, including the WOKE Chicken Gyoza ($4.90++), Golden Beancurd Skin ($3.90++), and Chicken Karaage ($4.90++). If you live in the North East, be sure to check out this exciting new opening in Compass One.
