If you’re a fan of soba noodles, get ready to celebrate—LILYAN, Tokyo’s renowned soba restaurant, has just opened their very first Singapore outlet in Boat Quay! With main courses starting at just $12+, you don’t have to travel all the way to Japan to enjoy their famous soba.

LILYAN prides themselves on using premium soba sourced from a select Japanese farm. Their noodles are freshly made from 100% buckwheat, ensuring they are both gluten-free and easy to digest.

LILYAN’s menu features an array of soba you can choose from, such as  Tororo ($16+), which is a comforting bowl of hot soba featuring Tororo yam and egg, and Mori ($12+), featuring chilled soba served with traditional cold dipping tsuyu (a soy sauce-based dip). You can also enhance your meal with a rice bowl for an additional cost, such as the Salmon and Mentai Mayo ($7+) or the Daishi Curry with Pork Belly ($6+).

LILYAN’s Singapore outlet is a delightful soba-izakaya hybrid, offering a variety of soba sets for lunch and a range of tapas for dinner. When visiting for dinner, be sure to try their Niku-sushi (price TBD), featuring delicately grilled wagyu beef sushi. For the more adventurous, explore their unique soba offerings like the Ma-Po ($17+), a bowl of cold soba served with a spicy, hot-and-sour tsuyu.
