If you’re bored of the Ramadan bazaars in Singapore, here’s a suggestion: try visiting one in Johor Bahru. We reckon the giant one next to Angsana Mall is worth checking out, as it is full of interesting stalls and not too far from the customs—just a 20-minute drive if traffic permits.

Some exciting items you can look forward to here include the Kunafa Kek Tapak Kuda (from RM25), which is essentially the classic roll cake given a kunafa twist. These treats are paired with decadent flavours, including KitKat, Biscoff, Nutella, pistachio and more, so take your pick.

You can also find XL fried chicken in the form of Ayam Gunting Besar (RM12), which gets you a slap of crispy chicken that’s possibly bigger than both your hands put together. If you’d like to level up the flavours, get the Ayam Gunting Cheese (RM15) instead.

For something hearty, get the Nasi Ayam Buttermilk (RM10). This dish gets you a pile of rice alongside a generous serving of crispy yet juicy buttermilk fried chicken.

Of course, you’ll find legit Ramly Burger here, with prices starting from RM7. There’s plenty to see and try at Angsana Mall’s Ramadan bazaar, so do make that trip down while it’s still around for the festive season!
