BKK Bistro & Bar opens in Dhoby Ghaut with cheap Thai boat noodles
Just last May, BKK Bistro & Bar opened a branch in Kallang with their famous $0.80 Thai boat noodles. This year, they’re back with another opening at GR.iD in town! Here’s even better news: their latest outlet opens till 2am daily, making it a great supper spot without breaking the bank.

Start with a crowd favourite, their Boat Noodle ($0.80++) that comes in a variety of soup, noodles, and toppings. You know the drill—choose between glass noodles and rice noodles, followed by a soup base of either herb or red tom yam. Finish it off with a topping of your choice from six different kinds: prawn, beef ball, beef slice, pork ball, pork liver, and pork slice.

To go with your boat noodles, we recommend getting a plate of Crispy Pork Belly with Honey Mustard Sauce ($10.80++). You can also zhng up your appetiser with their Mala Cucumber Crunch on Crispy Pork Belly ($12.80++), which is essentially slices of crispy pork belly doused in a spicy mala sauce, and topped with diced cucumbers.

Every Thai meal should end with desserts: for something classic, there’s the Traditional Thai Mango Sticky Rice ($7.80++) or Red Ruby with Coconut Ice Cream ($7.80++). Else, their Sweet Potato Ball with Taro Filling ($5.80++) is another treat for your consideration. You get deep-fried QQ sweet potato balls packed with mildly sweet taro paste within.

BKK Bistro & Bar at GR.iD is a quick five-minute walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station. You don’t have to worry about getting a seat here as the latest branch can easily house multiple groups of people at once. There’s even an al fresco dining area to enjoy the midnight breeze while having your supper.
