Easties have another new reason to head to Tampines Central for a meal: Abundance has opened at Century Square!
Abundance Opens In Jalan Besar, The Popular Taiwanese Cafe’s Second Location
This marks the brand’s third outlet—their first two other locations are at Lengkok Bahru in Redhill and Jalan Besar.
In case you didn’t know, Abundance is a popular Taiwanese cafe and restaurant that first started as a home-based business, before launching a brick-and-mortar eatery in 2021. They serve a wide range of Taiwanese-inspired eats, from loaded buns to fried rice and noodles.
Fans will be happy to know that this new Tampines restaurant offers the same menu!
Their Gua Bao ($7.90++) is a crowd favourite that shot to fame on Abundance’s socials back when they were an online business. This classic Taiwanese snack comprises a steamed bun packed with a chunky braised pork belly slice, ground peanuts, pickles, and coriander to cut through the grease.
Then there’s also the cheekily-named CCB ($7.90++), short for Crispy Chicken Bun, which stars deep-fried chicken thigh with spicy mango slaw and sweet peanut sauce.
For mains, dive straight into the Niu Yolk Fried Rice ($19++): short-grain fried rice served with 24-hour slow-cooked beef short ribs and a runny onsen egg.

Alternatively, their Herbal Braised Pork Belly ($12.90++) AKA lu rou fan is another signature dish that comes with sesame, Taiwanese garlic sausage, and house-made pickles.
We recommend ending your meal with the Peanut Ice Cream Roll ($6.90++), a quintessential street snack comprising vanilla ice cream, ground peanuts, and coriander, held by a thin popiah skin.
While you’re here, don’t miss out on Abundance’s range of craft beers, too!
In related Tampines news, popular Thai pancake shop Baan Kanom Thai is slated to open Baan Kai Khon in the new Tampines North estate. The stall will focus on Thai omelette rice, though they’ll also sell their signature Thai desserts here.
Otherwise, head to the new Tampines MRT food bazaar that’s ongoing till 15 September!
