Sambal mayo burger at Shake Shack

Shake Shack junkies, here’s something new to look forward to—not only is this upcoming, limited-time release a brand new one, it’s also their first ever locally-inspired savoury range! Created in collaboation with Batu Lesung Spice Company, the Sambal Mayo Burgers are made with a Shake Shack-exclusive sambal.

This brand-new menu series will be available islandwide, across all of Shake Shack’s stores, from 1 June to 15 August 2022.

Comprising three items: the Sambal Mayo Burger in Single ($12.50) and Double ($16.50), Sambal Mayo Chicken Shack ($12.50), and Sambal Mayo Fries ($7.90), they all feature the mildly spicy sambal mayo that’s the star of this release.

Unlike your usual ShackBurger ($9.70/$13.40), the Sambal Mayo Burger features an additional couple slices of refreshing cucumber, sunny-side-up egg, Shake Shack’s famous ShackMeister onions, and lashings of the tangy sambal mayo. Altogether, it’s reminiscent of our favourite nasi lemak, albeit with an Angus beef patty or two.

We recently saw Shake Shack launch its Dark Meat Hot Chicken Burger ($10.80); this time, a non-spicy version is paired with a slaw that’s been tossed with cilantro, lime, and fish sauce for an ultra appetising complement to the crisp battered chicken.

Even if you don’t usually enjoy lettuce in your burgers, we recommend keeping the slaw in this one.

A burger meal is simply incomplete without fries—you won’t be able to get enough of the sambal mayo either, so order a portion of the Sambal Mayo Fries as well. These come topped with crisp bacon bits, and scallions.

New Jollibee Outlet At Vivo City With $2 Beef Burger, Spicy Chickenjoy And More

It’s not the first time Shake Shack Singapore has collaborated with a local brand. The VivoCity restaurant has an outlet-exclusive Sugee Bougie, which they joined hands with local kueh store Mrs Kueh to create. There, their signature Concrete gets blended with the Orange Citrus Sugee Cake from Mrs Kueh, before it’s topped with more cake.

ICYMI, Jollibee VivoCity is now open! Otherwise, Five Dragons serves up a mean mala mayo dip with fries, and mala fried chicken wings too.
