KURA at South Bridge Road

We last reviewed KURA when they were still at their Kim Yan Road digs, in the more secluded River Valley neighbourhood. Then, they closed this February, promising to reopen in a new location. That time is now, when their brand new space at South Bridge Road opened for business.

This move has put them in a much more central location, somewhere in the vicinity where Chinatown crosses into Boat Quay and Clarke Quay.

If you havent heard of KURA before, this homegrown patisserie is the lovechild of Koojee and Rachel, a pair of young ladies whose combined experience includes stints at Tiong Bahru Bakery and five-star hotel kitchens.

They’re known for their high-quality, affordably-priced cakes, in particular the La Vie En Rose ($11++), which is much loved for its Instagrammable appearance.

Other items on their menu include the Key Lime Tart ($8.50++)Yoghurt Baked Cheesecake ($12.50++), Goma Yuzu ($13++), or an Uji Matcha Tiramisu ($10++).
