This spot is a go-to if you’re in the mood for some roasted delights! The Char Siew is simply to die for! Even though they’ve only opened in 2016, they have already garnered a huge cult following! Specializing in Char Siew, it is first cooked in a drum under the charcoal for three hours. It is then coated with a sweet sauce to give it a beautiful layer of caramelization. The result is a sweet-salty and succulent char siew that leaves you wanting more! The Char Siew is cooked Kuala Lumpur style, meaning fattier cuts of meats are used and it’s roasted for a longer period of time. This gives it a perfectly caramelised and smoky exterior with an absolutely tender interior! Roast Paradise also offers a delectable Roasted Pork, with an amazing crisp crackling. Definitely a must-try too!

Whitley Road Big Prawn Noodle first started at Whitley Road Hawker Centre in the 70s, and has since expanded with another outlet situated at Thomson Road. The current branch at Old Airport Road achieved the Michelin Plate in 2019 and continues to draw snaking long queues of customers during lunch hour. The Big Prawn Noodle comes in both the soup and dry versions, with three big fresh prawns. The soup is flavourful and sweet, with a hint of the umami prawn taste. For those who enjoy strong flavours, you might find it a tad bland but then again, it is still up to personal preference. Nonetheless, it is still a tasty bowl of soup!
